The International Monetary Fund (IMF) Managing Director, Ms Christine Lagarde, will visit New Delhi on March 19-20 to meet senior Government officials.
During her visit, Ms Lagarde will participate in a high-level conference, “China and India: Sustaining High-Quality Growth”.
Conference
The conference is being co-hosted by the IMF and will be inaugurated by the Finance Minister, Mr Pranab Mukherjee. She will participate in the closing roundtable discussion.
The two-day conference will bring together policy makers, academics and private sector representatives to discuss the growth successes of China and India.
The event is part of a series of high-level events in the region ahead of the IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings to be held in Tokyo, Japan, in October this year.
