Bill Gates meet chief minister about healthcare in UP

Microsoft founder Bill Gates Melinda Foundation, who is on a day-long visit to Uttar Pradesh, today met the state's Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow. Samajwadi Party leader Anupriya Patel told reporters that welfare schemes were discussed in the meeting. Members of the 'Bill and Melinda Gates' Foundation' have already held preliminary meetings with state government officials from the health and family welfare department to lay the ground work for the meeting between the two. According to reports, Mr Gates was particularly interested in taking up initiatives like polio eradication and other vaccinations, which are in poor state in the Uttar Pradesh.
