Mudras to cure Eye problems.

In modern world, excessive exposure of eyes to computers, television, pollution will cause heavy stress and strain for them.
Weak eye sight, frequent headaches, burning sensation in eyes, eyelid hairloss etc problems can be cured by simple mudras.
Dry eyes, excess tears, pus in eyes can also be cured.
Vayu Mudra For Eyelid problems :

For eradicating feeling of heaviness on eyelids, to provent eyelid hair loss etc, use this mudra
Description: Place thumb down on index finger and keep all remaining three fingers comfortably straight.
Do this 3 times a day before meals for 15 minutes to release the hair(vayu) from eye lids and free them.

It also gives Relief from Rheumatism, Sciatica,
Stiff Neck, Knee Pain,
Gout, Joint Pain in hands and feet, Paralysis, Hysteria.
 Varuna Mudra for burning and dry eyes :

If eyes are over exposed to pollution, dust, sunlight, television, computer etc, they lose water and become dry.
Sometimes burning sensation and reddishness is also seen.
Description: Join your little finger to the tip of your thumb. Keep other fingers comfortably straight.
Sit in dhyana posture(padmasana or sukhasana) and practice this mudra with outstretched palms placed on knees for 10-15 minutes, 3 times a day.
It removed bad air from eyes and gives relief.

Gyan Mudra for Weak Eye sight and retina problems :

Due to over exposure to lights, pollution, television screens and computer monitors in dark rooms, retina becomes weak and people lose eye sight at young age.
Description: The thumb and index finger are brought together gently while all the other fingers remain upright.
Practice this in same sitting posture as for above mudras and for 15 minutes, thrice a day till eye sight improves.
It also gives Mental Peace,Concentration,Sharp Memory,Spirituality,Insomnia,Mental Disorders,Stress,
Depression,Drowsiness,Develops telepathic ablilities,
Developes clairvoyant and extra-sensory ablilities
Jalodar Nasha (or) Jala Samhar Mudra:

For stopping excess tears flow from eyes : Phlegm, which is
usually in head, sometimes becomes excess and tries to come out through eyes in form of tears or pus in eyes and block our vision.
Description: Place thumb down on little finger and keep all remaining three fingers comfortably straight.
Practice this mudra 2-3 times per day, atleast 15 times per session, depending on the severity of the problem.
Eyelids will not stick to each other after its usage.

 Prithvi(Surya) Mudra:


Yoga for curing Cataract problems in Eyes : Cataract problem will completely rob you from eye sight and practicing surya mudra will cure this problem slowly without need of any medicines.
Description: Place the tip of the ring finger on top of the tip of the thumb. Or alternatively, one can bend down the ring finger to touch palm(venus mount) and press it with thumb.
Extend all the other fingers and keep them comfortably straight as possible.(BOTH HANDS)
Sit straight with knees folded and palms stretched out on knees and practice this mudra facing east for atleast 10 minutes, thrice a day till cataract problem is totally cured.

Ganesha Mudra to Remove Blocks.

Benefits and Steps of Ganesha Mudra:
Ganesha, the elephant god, is one of the most popular deities of Hindu mythology. He is supposed to help remove all obstacles from your path. The Ganesh Mudra is named after him because performing this Mudra is said to help lift your spirits and give you the will to persevere when you are feeling down.
Steps:
Sit down comfortably on a chair or on a yoga mat in the Lotus Pose (Padma Asana).
Bring both hands in front of your chest with your elbows bent.
Position the left hand with the palm facing outwards in such a way that your thumb points towards your solar plexus and your little finger points towards your collar bone.
Form a claw by bending the four fingers of your left hand and clasp them with the four fingers of your right hand. In this position, your right palm should be facing towards your chest.
Inhale deeply. On the exhale, try to pull both arms apart while keeping all eight fingers locked. Feel the stretch along your shoulders and chest.
Inhale once more and relax your arms while maintaining the Ganesh Mudra lock.
Repeat this process six times.
Interchange your hands, with your right palm facing outwards and the left palm facing inwards and repeat this process.
Release all tension from the arms and bring them close to your chest so that your hands are touching your sternum. Sit in this position for as long as you like and focus on your breath.
Benefits:
The benefits of the Ganesha Mudra extend to the cardiac muscles, the muscles of the chest, shoulders, and arms.
It also helps to release any pent up tension from the shoulders and chest.

Mudra to cure Epilepsy.(Deer Face)

MRIGI MUDRA (DEER FACE):
Touch the tip of the thumb with the middle portion of ring & middle finger, leave the index and little finger straight. The looks are like a face of a deer, that’s why its known as “mrigi’.
Benefits:
a). It cures seizures, epilepsy, and nervous weakness.
b). Removes tension & head ache due to cold or sinus.
c). Stabilizes the mind and brings happiness to your feelings.
d). To some extent helps to remove dental pain.
Duration:
It can be practiced maximum up to 30 minutes those are diseased with epilepsy.

Apaana Mudra-Control of Diabetes


There is a mudra called Apaana Mudra. This is formed by touching top portions of middle finger, ring finger and thumb. There need not be any pressure while the portions are kept in touch. The other two fingers need to be kept as shown. The mudra to be done with both hands and kept for at least for 20 to 30 minutes. And more if possible. No restrictions on when to do it etc.  it can be done while walking, or while taking rest at home or sit with this mudra while meditating etc. This mudra is said to control Diabetes. And also it is said to expel impurities of body by causing sweating. There are many other benefits claimed. Advised to practice for several months to reap benefits. We can ask our patients to do this act in addition to the medication given.
